New Classic

May 26, 2014

If you haven't gone on a thrifting journey in a while, you should do it! I know it takes time and effort to look through racks and racks of clothes but sometimes you will run into a piece that will forever be one of a kind. This is the season to go, so many people are cleaning out their closets this Spring and you might find a super classic piece like this dress I found! It is such a classic fit and cut! The color and details really stood out to me, the dress was drawing me into it. Originally I was looking for a dress that I could use in a friend of mine's photo-shoot but ran into this gem instead. I didn't even try it on, I just made sure it was my size and purchased it. Turns out it fits like it was tailored to me. I love how it is still in excellent shape, like new! I wore this to work once and I swear to you, I was receiving so many comments on the dress and the fit. One lady wondered if I paid close to $80 for it and I stunned her with a whopping $2. I paired it with some accessories I already had at home. This necklace and bracelet were actually gifts from my grandmother, she likes little boutiques and tends to buy me accessories! The ring is an old ring I bought from like high-school and I felt like chunky rings were cool back then but my peers said otherwise, now I rock it proudly, I love chunky accessories! Lastly I paired it with nude pumps from Steve Madden and an old nude purse from Coach, I think the nude really balanced the bright aqua well!

Thank you for stopping by!

  4. I LOVE the color of your dress! Blue is my favorite! Pulling different pieces together that are either thrifted, randomly found at a boutique, or a hand-me-down is what makes an outfit really interesting!
